Wellbeing for the workplace

Your team is spending most of their waking hours at work.
They deserve more than a pizza lunch.

Workplace wellbeing has become an industry. Most of it asks people to stop for a day, feel something pleasant, and return on Monday to exactly the same pressures with no new tools for handling them.

Wittering Wellbeing works differently. Everything we offer is grounded in evidence, delivered beside the River Avon in Worcestershire, and designed to leave people with something genuinely useful: an understanding of their own nervous system and a small set of practices that work in the middle of a busy week.

Two offerings. One clear purpose. Teams that understand themselves better, and know what to do about it.

79%
of employees regularly experience workplace stress. Most have no reliable way to interrupt it during the working day.
£56bn
lost annually to poor mental health at work in the UK. Presenteeism costs more than absence.

the practices"

What makes this different

Not a box to tick.
Something that actually lands.

01
Evidence-based throughout
Every practice and programme draws on peer-reviewed research: blue health science, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Attention Restoration Theory, and somatic nervous system awareness. Nothing is offered because it feels nice.
02
Beside the River Avon
Proximity to water is consistently associated with lower cortisol and improved attentional recovery. Your team does not just hear about blue health. They feel it happen, at Arden Sailing Club on the Avon in Worcestershire.
03
Tools that travel
The goal is not a pleasant day. It is practices people reach for on a Wednesday morning in a car park before a difficult meeting. Portable, evidenced, and genuinely useful outside the room they were learned in.

James Wittering
Blue Health Facilitator · MBCT Teacher · SUP Instructor

James founded Wittering SUP and Wittering Wellbeing on the River Avon in Worcestershire. For the past several years he has worked with the science of blue health and mindfulness in the place he knows best: beside the water.

He is a qualified MBCT teacher trained through the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation, a certified Blue Health Facilitator, and has developed blue health programmes for the Academy of Surfing Instructors. His approach is direct, evidence-grounded, and genuinely sceptic-friendly. He does not ask people to believe in anything. Only to notice what is already happening.
