Tools that work on a Wednesday morning.
Grounded in science. Beside the water.

Most people arrive here carrying something: stress that will not shift, a mind that will not quieten, a team that is running on empty. Wittering Wellbeing offers programmes that address that directly, with evidence-based practices and a teacher who has spent several years finding out what actually helps.

Everything draws on blue health science and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. Sessions are delivered online via Zoom or in person beside the River Avon at Arden Sailing Club in Worcestershire.

The aim is practices people reach for on a difficult Tuesday, in a car park, before a hard conversation. That is a higher bar than a pleasant day out, and it is the one everything here is built to.

One month out, I am still using the practices and feel just that little bit more equipped for handling the noise of life.

Recommended without hesitation
Greg, F8
My work paid the fees. I wanted tools to share with the people I see at work. I also needed something for myself. The course did both things, and I am so grateful.

James Wittering
MBCT Teacher · Blue Health Facilitator · SUP Instructor

James is a qualified MBCT teacher trained through the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation and a certified Blue Health Facilitator with the Academy of Surfing Instructors. He also co-runs Wittering SUP with Alex, a paddleboarding school on the Avon with over 620 five-star reviews. His approach is direct, patient, and sceptic-friendly. He does not ask people to believe in anything. Only to notice what is already happening, and to practise until they can do that reliably.

The course was a fantastic reset that allowed me to slow down, breathe, refocus and learn some techniques that have helped me almost every day since. I left each session feeling more balanced and more confident in my ability to deal with life's tricky situations.

I almost gave up after the first week but I am so glad I did not. Everything really started to click during the last couple of sessions and I feel I have benefitted enormously.
